Matcha Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder

  • 2 tablespoons sugar (Optional)

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups milk

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled (plus more unmelted butter for cooking)

  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together (flour, matcha powder, sugar, salt, baking soda)

  2. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and milk. Then pour in the cooled melted butter

  3. Pour the egg mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Gently mix to combine

    • Optional: Pour the batter into a squeeze bottle to pipe out frog character

  4. On a hot skillet, place butter or oil. Carefully spoon or squeeze batter onto skillet. When you see bubbles rise and pop on surface, flip pancakes and cook the other side until slightly brown.

  5. Use melted chocolate to decorate the pancakes as desired. Serve with maple syrup, pancake syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh fruits.
